Our client, a leading independent provider of pensions services, have a superb opportunity for an experienced pensions administrator to join their PPF team as a pensions administrator.

You will be supporting the PPF administration team in supporting the provision of specialist administration and defined benefits pension services to pension scheme trustees, the Pension Protection Fund and other third parties.

Main responsibilities:

•        Managing a portfolio of clients and projects to ensure all deadlines and budgets are met.

•        Checking manual and computer generated benefit calculations for accuracy and checking updates to the member database.

•        Undertake a proactive client facing role, attending client meetings and communicating with clients, their members and advisors.

•        Promoting the administration services and systems to existing and potential new clients.

•        Checking cash handling functions, liaising with the bank and investment managers as appropriate.

•        Checking client pensioner payrolls, including calculation of net pay and arranging payments.

•        Liaising with authorities including DWP, HMRC, The Pensions Regulator and the Information Commissioner.

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge:

Successful candidates will have a solid background in DB pensions administration and ideally have some experience within PPF administration.  You will also have a minimum of GCSE Grade “5” or “C” in Maths and English and a strong understanding of Microsoft Office.  Ideally you will also be making progress the Certificate in Pension Calculations or other PMI examinations
